Die Autorin
Stefanie Schickentanz, Übersetzerin, Dolmetscherin, Auslandskorrespondentin und Simultandolmetscherin (Certificates der University of Cambridge und der University of Maryland), war lange Jahre als Technische Übersetzerin beim Corps of Engineers der US Army tätig. Ihre fachtechnische Sachkenntnis erwarb sie sich durch ihre Tätigkeit bei der Salzgitter Industriebau GmbH, Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz Chemieanlagenbau AG, Ford Motor Company, John Deere & Company sowie als freie Mitarbeiterin beim Springer-Verlag, diversen Statik- und Ingenieur-büros, großen Industrie- und Baufirmen, dem Staatlichen Hochbauamt und nicht zuletzt durch ihr eigenes Technisches Übersetzungsbüro.
